Gundam Ace
Gundam Ace (ガンダムエース, Gandamu Eesu) è un mensile giapponese di manga shōnen pubblicato dalla Kadokawa Shoten, che cura anche Newtype e Shōnen Ace.
Principale oggetto della rivista è tutto ciò legato al franchise Gundam, non solo manga, ma anche articoli d'approfondimento, sondaggi, questionari e notizie sugli anime in uscita.
Esiste anche una versione cinese pubblicata dalla Kadokawa Media (Taiwan) Co., Ltd.
Generalità
Uscito per la prima volta il 25 giugno 2001 i primi tre numeri furono trimestali, per poi diventare dal quarto al decimo bimestrale, dal numero dieci (uscito il 25 aprile 2003) Gundam Ace divenne infine mensile.
Il direttore è Shinichirō Inoue della Kadokawa Shoten,mentre il redattore capo è Hideaki Kobayashi.
Su questa rivista sono stati (e vengono tutt'ora pubblicati) alcuni dei più importanti manga legati al marchio Gundam, si ricordino su tutti Char's Deleted Affair, Origini, Ecole du Ciel e le serie Astray. Comunque vengono, o sono stati, pubblicati anche manga non collegati a Gundam come, ad esempio, Wing of Rean.
Da ricordare che spesso alla rivista sono allegati vari gadget come poster, CD-ROM o cover alternative per manga.
Manga pubblicati
Molti dei titoli manga che vengono pubblicati servono soprattutto in chiave promozionale (adattamento di videogames, serie o supporto a nuove linee modellistiche) oppure sono parodie delle serie gundamiche.
